Terms of Service & Cancellation/Refund Policy

Welcome to Faith’s Notary Services. By booking an appointment, using our website, or engaging our services, you agree to the following Terms of Service and Cancellation/Refund Policy.

1. Services Provided

Faith’s Notary Services (“we,” “our,” “us”) provides mobile notary, fingerprinting, and related document services in Maryland and surrounding states. Services are available by appointment and subject to availability.

2. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must provide valid, government-issued photo identification at the time of notarization.

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring documents are complete and accurate before signing.

  • We do not provide legal advice. Clients should consult an attorney if they have legal questions about their documents.

3. Scheduling & Appointments

  • Appointments can be scheduled online, by phone, or email.

  • A travel fee and/or deposit may be required at booking.

  • We reserve the right to decline or reschedule services if proper requirements are not met.

4. Fees & Payments

  • All service fees will be disclosed prior to booking.

  • Accepted payment methods: Card,Debt,Tap, Apple Pay, Google Pay

  • Travel fees, after-hours fees, rush fees, and waiting-time charges may apply.

  • Full payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that unexpected changes happen. To respect both our notaries’ time and our clients’ needs, the following policies apply:

5.1 Client Cancellations

  • 24 hours or more before appointment: Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund of any deposit paid (minus any non-refundable processing fees).

  • Less than 24 hours before appointment: Deposits are non-refundable. A cancellation fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service may apply.

  • No-shows or late arrivals (15+ minutes without notice): The appointment will be considered canceled and no refund will be issued.

5.2 Rescheduling

  • Clients may reschedule once without penalty if notice is given at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a rescheduling fee.

5.3 Company Cancellations

  • If Faith’s Notary Services must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, clients will receive a full refund of any prepaid fees or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.

5.4 Refund Exclusions

  • Travel fees are non-refundable once the notary is en route.

  • Refunds are not issued if a notarization cannot be completed due to client error (e.g., missing ID, incomplete documents, signer unwilling/incompetent, etc.).

6. Limitations of Service

  • We cannot notarize documents if the signer is unwilling, does not understand the document, or lacks proper identification.

  • We reserve the right to decline service if doing so would violate state law or professional standards.

7. Liability Disclaimer

  • Our role is limited to performing notarial acts in compliance with applicable laws.

  • We are not responsible for the content, legality, or accuracy of documents presented.

  • We are not liable for losses, damages, or delays outside the notarial act itself.

8. Confidentiality

All client information and documents are handled with strict confidentiality, except as required by law.

9. Website Use

  • Clients may not use our website for unlawful purposes or to transmit harmful content.

  • We are not responsible for third-party websites or resources linked from our site.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.

11. Updates

We may update these Terms of Service & Cancellation/Refund Policy at any time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date.
